Birthplace of Herodotus, this charming port city formerly known as Halicarnassus (1200 BC), is located in a bay in the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. Alexander the Great conquered the city in 334 BC. After his death in 353 BC, the widow of King Mausolus built a tomb for her husband majestic known today as a mausoleum, was destroyed by an earthquake after the 12th century and most of the marble was used in the construction of the castle of San Pedro in 1402. It is worth visiting the Submerged Archaeological Museum.

The Bodrum peninsula surrounded by beautiful bays, with its warm waters, is an excellent choice for the starting point of Bleu Cruise – (Blue Voyage) through “Gulet”, a type of craft which is regional or by modern yachts.
